Hurtigruten’s Norwegian Coastal Cruises Feature in New Channel 4 Series

Three-part documentary follows Lorraine Kelly along Hurtigruten’s iconic Norwegian coast

If you’ve ever dreamed of exploring Norway’s dramatic coastline, Hurtigruten has just made it even more irresistible. The cruise line has partnered with Channel 4 for a brand-new three-part documentary, ‘Lorraine Kelly’s Norwegian Odyssey’, airing from 15 January at 8pm.

The series follows Lorraine Kelly as she sails the 34 ports Hurtigruten calls at year-round between Bergen and Kirkenes, discovering the region’s stunning fjords, abundant wildlife, rich culinary traditions, and deep cultural heritage. Along the way, viewers will witness Lorraine’s personal journey, including fulfilling her dream of seeing the Northern Lights.

“This is a deeply personal journey for me,” Lorraine explains. “Norway’s history is so closely entwined with Scotland’s that it felt like stepping into those very stories. Spending time aboard Hurtigruten’s ships, with their knowledgeable crew, really brought Norway’s deep-rooted heritage to life.”

To celebrate the series launch, Hurtigruten is offering agent incentives for bookings made while the episodes air, from 15 to 29 January 2026. Agents who upload bookings to the Hurtigruten Rewards platform will earn double points and be entered to win a roundtrip for two on the Original Coastal Express, including charter flights, redeemable between October 2026 and February 2027.

Hurtigruten’s Chief Commercial Officer, Iain Powell, highlighted the series as part of the line’s 2026 UK marketing plans: “For more than 130 years, Hurtigruten has been connecting people and communities along Norway’s coast. This series celebrates that legacy while showcasing the beauty of the coastline we call home.”

Whether it’s fjord adventures, authentic local experiences, or the magic of the Northern Lights, Lorraine Kelly’s Norwegian Odyssey offers viewers an intimate look at why Hurtigruten remains the go-to choice for exploring Norway responsibly and in style.
