Virgin Voyages Launches VoyageFair Choices: A New Way to Book with More Transparency and Flexibility

The world’s No. 1 cruise line unveils a bold new fare model designed to give Sailors clarity, choice, and flexibility

Virgin Voyages is rewriting the rules of the cruise industry once again. With the launch of its fourth ship, Brilliant Lady, the award-winning line has already been sailing high on record demand and rave reviews. Now, they’re introducing something new: VoyageFair Choices, a re-imagined way to book your vacation at sea.

Launching October 7, 2025, VoyageFair Choices puts Sailors in control with more transparency, more flexibility, and more ways to choose how they sail, without ever losing sight of Virgin’s signature Always Included Luxury.

What’s New?

Virgin Voyages has designed VoyageFair Choices with four goals in mind: clarity, comparability, flexibility, and choice. In other words, no gimmicks, no hidden fees, just an easier way to book your cruise with confidence.

Here’s how it breaks down:

Base Fare
For Sailors who love a great value. This non-refundable option includes Basic WiFi (perfect for social scrolling and messaging), a 15-day dining reservation window, and straightforward savings.

Essential Fare
Closest to what travelers know and love today. You’ll get Classic WiFi, a 45-day dining reservation window, the ability to make name changes for Sailors Two through Four, and flexibility to adjust voyage dates with a Future Voyage Credit.

Premium Fare
For those who want it all. Premium includes WiFi with streaming, a 60-day dining reservation window (previously only for suites), an included Bar Tab for drinks, and access to a priority pre-voyage support line.

RockStar Exclusives

RockStar and Mega RockStar Sailors will now be able to make dining reservations a full 120 days before sailing, securing those must-have culinary experiences even earlier. Of course, all the indulgent perks, from Richard’s Rooftop access to curated in-room bars, remain untouched.

Gratuities Made Simple

In a bold move toward transparency, Virgin Voyages will now show service gratuities as a clear line item at booking. The cost hasn’t changed (Sailors can pre-pay at $20 per night or settle onboard at $22), but the clarity makes all the difference. And remember: once it’s covered, there’s no tipping expected onboard.

What Hasn’t Changed

The heart of Virgin Voyages remains the same: Always Included Luxury. Every fare comes with more than $1,000 in value, from globally inspired dining and unlimited fitness classes to WiFi, soda, still and sparkling water, and boundary-pushing entertainment.

Sailing Into the Future

With sold-out voyages, soaring demand for adults-only travel, and now the debut of VoyageFair Choices, Virgin Voyages is cementing its spot as the No. 1 cruise line for modern travelers. As CEO Nirmal Saverimuttu put it, “We’re making it easier to book a voyage with confidence while knowing that once you’re onboard, the experience is unmistakably Virgin: elevated and unforgettable.”

Virgin Voyages has never been about doing things the traditional way. VoyageFair Choices is another step forward, one that puts travelers first and makes cruising clearer, simpler, and even more exciting.
