From Page to Passage: Seabourn Welcomes Renowned Authors and Creatives On Board

Award-Winning Writers and Broadcasters Join Luxury Voyages

If you enjoy a good book as much as a beautiful ocean view, Seabourn has just written the perfect next chapter. The ultra-luxury cruise line has revealed its 2026 line-up for the much-loved “Authors at Sea” and “Seabourn Conversations” programmes, bringing some of the world’s most celebrated literary and creative minds on board for an enriching year at sea.

A Celebration of Conversation and Creativity

Seabourn has announced an impressive roster of writers, broadcasters, historians, and cultural experts joining its 2026 Authors at Sea and Seabourn Conversations programmes. Designed to foster meaningful connections and thoughtful dialogue, these programmes invite guests to engage with some of today’s most respected creative voices, both on board and ashore.

Guests can look forward to interactive talks, hands-on workshops, and intimate gatherings, including shared meals and select shore excursions, all set within Seabourn’s signature refined atmosphere.

Authors at Sea: Stories Brought to Life

Select 2026 sailings will feature acclaimed novelists, biographers, and historians offering live events and practical workshops for aspiring writers and passionate readers alike.

Among the highlights is Ann Cleeves OBE, who will sail aboard Seabourn Ovation on 30 May 2026 from Dover to Reykjavik. Best known for the Vera and Shetland series, Ann will host crime-writing workshops and a live murder mystery event, sharing insights into her characters and storytelling craft.

Also joining the programme is Joanne Harris OBE, sailing on Seabourn Venture from Barcelona to Gijón on 11 June 2026. Author of more than twenty novels, including Chocolat, Joanne will bring her internationally celebrated storytelling to life through engaging onboard sessions.

Other featured authors include Louise Penny, appearing aboard Seabourn Encore in February 2026, and Lady Sandra Howard, who will sail from Lisbon to Miami in November 2026, drawing on her remarkable life experiences and historical fiction.

Seabourn Conversations: Insights Beyond the Page

Seabourn Conversations continues to offer guests the opportunity to hear from leading figures across the arts, culture, science, and beyond, delivered through insightful presentations and relaxed, engaging discussions.

Notable speakers include Clare Balding CBE, who will join Seabourn Encore in March 2026 for a sailing from Tokyo to Yokohama. An award-winning broadcaster and author, Clare brings decades of experience covering major sporting and royal events, including the coronation of King Charles III.

Other distinguished guests include portrait painter Richard Stone, whose work includes commissions for the Royal Family, and wine writer and broadcaster Will Lyons, who will share his expertise and stories aboard Seabourn Ovation during summer 2026 sailings.

A Thoughtful Way to Sail

According to Joseph Chantry, Seabourn’s Vice President of Entertainment and Enrichment, conversation has always been central to the Seabourn experience, bringing travellers together through shared discovery and meaningful exchange. These 2026 programmes continue that tradition, offering moments of inspiration long after the sun has dipped below the horizon.

For guests who enjoy thoughtful dialogue, creative exploration, and the simple pleasure of listening to a great story at sea, Seabourn’s 2026 enrichment voyages promise to be truly unforgettable.
