Virgin Voyages Unveils New Adults-Only Podcast Cruise Series

New “On Air at Sea” Sailings Will Bring Podcast Fans Together at Sea

Virgin Voyages has announced a brand-new entertainment concept that will give podcast fans the chance to experience their favourite shows beyond their headphones. Partnering with iHeartMedia, the adults-only cruise line is launching On Air at Sea, a new collection of speciality sailings built entirely around some of the world’s most popular podcasts.

The first sailing in the new series, Stuff at Sea, is scheduled to depart on 2 October 2026 aboard Valiant Lady. The five-night voyage will sail from New York to Bermuda and feature immersive experiences inspired by three well-known iHeart podcast franchises.

Guests onboard will be able to experience live recordings, behind-the-scenes sessions, meet-and-greets with podcast hosts, themed activities and curated Shore Things excursions in Bermuda. All of it will be combined with Virgin Voyages’ signature adults-only atmosphere, stylish design and included dining experiences.

The maiden voyage will spotlight Stuff You Should Know, hosted by Josh Clark and Chuck Bryant, alongside conspiracy and mystery-focused podcast Stuff They Don’t Want You to Know, and feminist culture podcast Stuff Mom Never Told You.

Virgin Voyages says the concept is designed to give listeners something streaming platforms simply cannot recreate, the chance to be part of the experience in person. Because listening to a podcast while folding laundry is one thing, but discussing conspiracy theories while sailing across the Atlantic? Slightly more memorable.

Virgin Voyages Valiant Lady

The new partnership builds on the success of the cruise line’s previous True Crime Voyage, which sailed aboard Valiant Lady during the 2025 Halloween season. That sold-out sailing featured live experiences connected to several iHeartPodcasts series and helped inspire the larger On Air at Sea concept.

Stephen Hopkins, Senior Vice President of Growth at Virgin Voyages, described the new series as a fresh approach to fan communities, where “the ocean becomes the venue”.

Debbie Cerrito, Senior Vice President of Business Development at iHeartMedia, said the partnership allows podcast audiences to turn their shared interests into real-life experiences at sea.

Virgin Voyages and iHeartMedia also confirmed this is only the beginning. Future On Air at Sea sailings are expected to expand into other genres including comedy, music, wellness and true crime.

Alongside the podcast-themed voyages, Virgin Voyages is continuing to grow its immersive cruise offerings in other areas as well. Upcoming speciality sailings include collegiate-themed experiences, with Penn State alumni and fans set to sail aboard Resilient Lady on the five-night Dominican Daze itinerary departing 3 August 2026.

Bookings for Stuff at Sea are now open, though Virgin Voyages says cabins for the limited sailing are expected to fill quickly.
